The Energy Research Institute @ NTU is a research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities.
It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.
The institute has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.
We are looking for a talented and creative researcher to work on a project under the NTU-ExxonMobil Corp Lab. Primarily, we are looking for an individual dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis, thermochemical reaction engineering with extensive experience in employing advanced characterization techniques to probe the structure of catalyst active sites under working conditions and catalytic mechanisms.
The project aims to develop reaction engineering approaches to tackle technical problems associated with the conversion of biomass to low emission fuels. The researcher will work closely within a larger project team including chemists and computational chemists to develop a commercially viable low emission fuel process.
Key Responsibilities- Publish research results in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in the daily running and maintenance of the research lab.
