Job Title:

Senior QA Engineer

 

Job Description:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth implementation of our corporate quality strategy and the effective execution of tactical action plans. You will lead the QA/QC activities, monitor QA performance metrics, and ensure timely and effective countermeasures are implemented to address negative trends.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning and execution of Corporate QA strategy supporting Business requirements
  • Lead improvement projects to sustain the vitality of the QEMS & ESG Sustainability Initiative
  • Track, monitor, and report QA performance metrics
  • Partner and drive quality improvement with cross-department functions to apply timely and effective countermeasures to address negative trends

 

Customer & Product Quality:

  • Participate in NPI / FA drawing review meetings with factory to align test acceptance criteria and inspection test plans
  • Support inspection correlation activities between customer and factory
  • Review FA documentation for completeness and submit FA package for Qualification

 

Customer Complaint Handling:

  • Liaison between customer and factory/supplier on quality issues
  • Coordinate investigation and root cause analysis, drive product quality improvement
  • Verification of effectiveness and ensure timely closure of CAPA/SCAR
  • Participate in customer weekly meetings

 

Incoming & Non-conforming material:

  • Planning of inspection
  • Coordinate investigation of quality issues with factory/supplier
  • Coordinate MRB review meeting to ensure NCMR are investigated and processed in a timely manner

 

Quality systems/Continuous improvement:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of QMS according to ISO 9001/14001 requirements
  • Lead preparation and handling of customer audits
  • Conduct QEMS awareness and quality tools training

 

Candidate Requirements:

Experience:
   • 5 years and above in a Quality function role from Optics manufacturing, preferably with experience in germanium and chalcogenide material.
   • Proficient in English and Chinese language to communicate with customers and teams from Asia, Europe, and USA
Qualifications:
   • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
   • Sound knowledge and application of Quality tools, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
   • Experienced in Optical measurement equipment.
   • Some travelling to China and Malaysia production sites / suppliers / customers are required.
