Academic Capability and Conduct Advisor

About the Role:

The Academic Capability and Conduct Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting students at risk of academic failure, ensuring that they have access to the necessary resources and guidance to achieve their goals. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including academic staff, counselors, and external partners, to provide holistic support to students.

This includes:

  • Identifying students who are struggling academically or personally and providing them with tailored support plans.
  • Implementing structured processes to detect signs of academic or personal difficulties and developing strategies to address these issues.
  • Providing expert guidance on academic skills development, including academic writing, communication, and examination preparation.
  • Designing and delivering workshops to educate students on academic integrity, policies, collaborative work expectations, and ethical research practices.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and external stakeholders. They will also have a high proficiency in learning analytics tools and student management systems, as well as extensive experience in academic integrity processes and academic support services.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field and possess proven experience in student support services, academic skills development, or academic integrity management.
