Job Overview

The Parts Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the parts department and ensuring optimal inventory management, efficient procurement, and exceptional customer service. This position plays a crucial part in driving parts sales performance through market analysis, customer engagement, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and effective execution of sales strategies.

This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills to motivate and train the parts team, set clear KPIs, and foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Operations Management
  • Manage parts inventory to ensure availability while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure system accuracy.
  • Implement efficient processes for parts ordering, receiving, storage, and issuing.
Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow parts revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to stay competitive.
Customer Service & Support
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through accurate parts identification and timely delivery.
  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with workshop teams and fleet customers.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, train, and motivate the parts team to achieve performance targets.
  • Set clear KPIs and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to parts operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree in Automotive, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in parts management, preferably in the heavy commercial vehicle (Truck and Bus) industry.
  • Experience working with Public Bus Operators.
  • Proven track record in sales and inventory optimization.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
