We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to join our team in the North-East region. As a Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering evidence-based clinical care, including assessment, intervention, and caregiver support.
Working under the guidance of the Senior Practitioner, you will ensure the effective implementation of workflows and strategies that align with team goals. You will also contribute to programme evaluation by providing insights from clinical work to improve service delivery and outcomes.
Additionally, you will support community outreach and advocacy initiatives to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide psychological interventions, including casework management, counselling, psychoeducation, and caregiver support.
- Ensure services are person-centered, trauma-informed, family- and recovery-oriented, consistent with core principles.
- Collaborate with clients and caregivers to develop and review care plans that address mental, emotional, and social well-being.
- Implement and review services and activities to ensure alignment with the Service Excellence Pillar and strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of direct work experience working with youth and families, preferably in mental health settings.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment, therapeutic relationship-building, counselling, casework management, and caregiver support.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills for maintaining accurate client and programme records.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and community agencies to deliver holistic care.
- Passion for mental health advocacy and commitment to creating inclusive communities.
- Empathy, adaptability, and resilience in addressing diverse client needs.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
