Job Summary

The Senior Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services. This includes developing housekeeping procedures, training staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
  • Plan and manage manpower requirements based on hotel occupancy, including daily allotments and overtime.
  • Supervise staff, delegating authority and responsibility to Assistant Housekeepers and Floor Supervisors.
  • Liaise with Front Office to plan for sufficient manpower and coordinate with laundry contractors for pest control, landscaping, and floral arrangement displays.
  • Manage and maintain housekeeping supplies, including linen, staff uniforms, cleaning supplies, and other assets.
  • Assist in sourcing and procuring housekeeping items, ensuring sufficient supplies for operations.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management.
  • 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
