
Incident Response Lead

The team's primary function is to investigate the root cause of the incident and the extent of the breach - which systems were affected and if data was exfiltrated. We also assist clients in recovering from the incident – restoring systems and expelling intruders from the network as well as providing practical recommendations on how to prevent further incidents.
Our team works closely with experienced forensic professionals, cyber incident coordinators, security experts, attorneys, and corporate partners. As you grow in experience, you will have opportunities to work in other areas, but your initial focus will be on becoming proficient in Cyber Response.
This role involves:
- Leading and managing response to cyber-security incident response engagements.
- Contributing to commercial proposals based on existing templates.
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues.
- Participating hands-on as required to deliver incident response and digital forensics engagements.
- Working directly with end clients to help them navigate their cyber-security challenges.
What We're Looking For:
Self-motivated individuals with a strong desire to learn and identify new technologies and services, willing to share knowledge with the team.
More than 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years spent in a technical role in cybersecurity with experience in Incident Response and Digital Forensics.
Ability to lead incident response cases – formulate a response plan, break it down into tasks, supervise delivery and participate hands-on as required.
Good understanding of networking, the internet, computers, and familiarity with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, and, of course, cybersecurity.
Subject matter expertise in the field of digital forensics and incident response. You will be expected to help your colleagues resolve technical questions and do relevant research to resolve issues.Interpersonal/Other Skills:
- Time management: common to work on several projects simultaneously, able to prioritize and manage expectations when deadlines are not achievable.
- Presentation skills: comfortable presenting conclusions to colleagues and clients and answering questions. Further presentation skills training will be provided.
- Ability to write in plain English: reports presented to clients require written sections on areas worked on in plain (business) English.
