Technical Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced technical specialist to join our team in a waste management facility.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled technical specialist to work on various projects, including the operation and maintenance of a large-scale waste management infrastructural project and a waste-to-energy facility. The successful candidate will be part of a core team working at the client's facilities, assisting engineers and supervising construction progress.

The work scope includes participating in testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical equipment/systems, attending factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems, and coordinating maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, good interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navisworks, and Primavera P6. Experience in solid waste management would be an advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma in any Engineering course or Nitec in any Engineering course
  • For Diploma holders, preferably with 3 years of relevant working experience; fresh diploma graduates can be considered
  • For Nitec holders, preferably with 6 – 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Candidates with professional certification e.g. Licenced Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, Workplace Safety Health Officer, will be given preference
Benefits

This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of $2200 to $5000 depending on relevant experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including five rest days within one 15-day cycle and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Please note that as part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.

Location and Working Arrangements

This position is based in Tuas, with working arrangements including everyday working hours, rotating shift work over public holidays and weekends if necessary.
