Job Opportunity: Subsea Cable Development Specialist

The role of the Subsea Cable Development Specialist involves overseeing and managing subsea cable infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to plan new subsea cable projects.
  • Engineering Specifications: Convert business requirements into detailed engineering specifications for submarine cable systems.
  • Cable Route Evaluation: Evaluate optimum cable routes through desktop studies and vendor engagement.
  • Tender Process: Drive the Invitation to Tender process and select vendors based on evaluation metrics.
  • Contract Negotiation: Develop and finalize supply contracts with submarine cable vendors.
  • System Implementation: Implement submarine cable systems, including design, manufacturing, and installation activities.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with landing service providers, vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of purchaser items.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in submarine cable operations or submarine cable projects.

The successful candidate will have experience driving submarine cable projects from conceptualization to implementation, as well as knowledge of submarine cable equipment and customer service delivery. Additionally, they should possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
