Job Title: Strategic Subsea Cable Manager

Job Description:

This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of subsea cable infrastructure projects.

  • Develop project plans and coordinate with stakeholders to meet customer demands.
  • Convert business requirements into detailed engineering specifications by evaluating industry trends, technology, and cost optimization.
  • Evaluate optimal cable routes through desktop studies, engage with vendors, and drive the Invitation to Tender process.
  • Develop and finalize supply contracts with vendors after close coordination with stakeholders.
  • Work with vendors to implement submarine cable systems, including design, manufacturing, and installation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and ensure deliverable items are ready on time.
  • Work with customers, partners, and suppliers on project implementation activities like site surveys, CLS design/build, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Ensure customers obtain necessary permits and provide support for installations.
  • Manage customer experience and relationships.
  • Conduct periodic review meetings to discuss performance, issues, and action items.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunication) and at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in submarine cable operations.

  • Experience driving submarine cable projects, especially conceptualization, design, vendor selection, contract formation, and project implementation.
  • Knowledge of submarine cable equipment and technologies.
  • Customer service delivery, assurance, or partnership management experience.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
