**Accounting Specialist Role Overview**
The Accounts Payable team in the APAC region is seeking an experienced accounting specialist to manage the accounts payable process. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing payments, ensuring compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the accounts payable process for the APAC region.
- Review and approve payment requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely accounting records, including journal entries, GL reconciliations, and accruals.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve AP and payment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting and Accounts Payable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Prior working experience with SAP.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
