Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Technical Solutions Specialist. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to our clients in the marine industry.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of capital equipment on-site at shipyards or onboard ships and company workshops.
- Serve as a customer-facing technical resource, collaborating effectively with clients and internal technicians to address and resolve technical and operational issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair logs in the company enterprise database.
- Ensure that company workshops are well-maintained, tools, and equipment are clean, and easily available for use.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have an engineering degree or diploma in mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, or marine engineering. You should also have over 3 years of technical experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning work in the marine or shipping industry.
You should have strong experience in mechanical engineering in your previous roles, be a keen learner, and able to analyze complex situations. Additionally, you should be open to traveling more than 60% internationally to fix customers' issues.
