Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Research Fellow, Programme Director to join our team at the Singapore Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale research projects, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

About the Role:

  • Assist the Lead Principal Investigator and Capability Area Leads in scientific, technical, and administrative matters.
  • Coordinate project planning, undertake coordination responsibilities, and lead regular project meetings to monitor progress.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, funding agencies, and research investigators.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and prepare financial reports.
  • Ensure projects comply with regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and assist in preparing and submitting required reports.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to address unexpected challenges.
  • Manage team dynamics, provide guidance and support, and ensure a productive work environment.
  • Communicate research output effectively to academic and non-academic audiences, develop and implement a communication plan, and organize dissemination activities.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Engineering or Sciences preferred.
  • Domain knowledge and experience in R&D supporting maritime industry and related eco-system with a strong research management track record in fields of maritime decarbonization.
  • Demonstrated leadership in R&D with publications, intellectual property track record advantageous.
  • Proven communication and leadership skills to motivate research team members and provide mentorship and support research team building.
  • Industrial experience either in industry research or completed projects with industry partners and agencies advantageous.
  • Able to work in and lead interdisciplinary teams with a wide variety of competences and a high level of diversity.
