About The Job

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading Data Centre projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed scope. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing, and handover of Data Centre projects.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in project management and construction, with a good understanding of planning, design, construction/fitout processes. They will also have excellent communication, people-management, and problem-solving skills.

The Project Manager will be an integral part of the project team, taking the lead in MEP and Commissioning matters and reporting to the Lead Project Manager. They will provide oversight and management of all project activities, working closely with JLL internal staff, project stakeholders, and external parties.

The Project Manager will guide the project to achieve outcomes that meet and exceed the client's expectations and business objectives. They will maintain a strong and positive relationship with the client by understanding their needs, requirements, and constraints.

The Project Manager will establish effective project organisational structures for communication, control, reporting, and operating procedures, ensuring that clear objectives, quality control, and risk management systems are in place.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Lead PM/Director and carry out tasks/duties assigned
  • Oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, Air-Con, Commissioning works for the project site, coordinating with respective stakeholders to meet project timeline
  • Coordinate and control the delivery of projects from inception to completion, establishing and maintaining an effective organisational structure for reporting, communication, and working procedures
  • Establish detailed overall project programmes that set clear milestones and objectives to ensure successful project delivery
  • Establish project budgets in accordance with client requirements and manage and forecast expenditure to achieve completion within budget
  • Work within the constraints of the project to meet all time, cost, quality, health & safety requirements
  • Conduct value engineering, buildability analysis, and critically review design and documentation to minimise risk and maximise outcomes
  • Represent the client throughout the duration of the project, coordinate the work of all consultants & contractors appointed, liaison with building landlords and authorities' agencies for project matters
  • Manage procurement activities on the project, including ensuring appropriate tender processes are implemented and contracts are in place with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Carry out contract administration duties of all vendors to protect the commercial interests of the client and JLL
  • Manage the construction phase of the project, ensuring JLL provides appropriate supervision
  • Report on the project's progress regularly, covering safety, environment, program, resources, budgets, risk, and profitability
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, take responsibility for project resources, and liaise with senior management to ensure appropriate resourcing
