Job Description:

This role involves leading the design and delivery of education programs for early childhood learners. You will be based at one of our campuses and work collaboratively with a team to create high-quality education experiences.

  • Design and Deliver Education Programs: Create engaging and effective education programs that meet the needs of early childhood learners.
  • Collaborate with HQ: Work with headquarters staff to design and review education modules, ensuring they align with industry developments and module objectives.
  • Deliver Lessons: Teach lessons according to module objectives, learning design, and instructional plans provided by HQ.
  • Supervise Class Assignments: Oversee class assignments, projects, practicum, and internship.
  • Assess Student Performance: Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress.
  • Module Evaluation: Monitor module evaluation surveys for quality indicators and make improvements.
  • Apply Assessment Strategies: Use assessment strategies and requirements for module assignments according to Polytechnic assessment guidelines.
  • Class Advisor/Mentor: Act as a class advisor/mentor for tutorial groups, providing necessary information and support.
  • Disciplinary Issues: Handle disciplinary issues in consultation with Module Leaders/Course Chairs/Course Leads when necessary.
  • Attend Academic Meetings: Attend academic meetings, training sessions, and complete exam processing and invigilation.
  • Committee/Project Involvement: Participate in committees/projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree: Hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related post-graduate qualifications.
  • Teaching Experience: Possess at least 5 years of teaching experience in the early childhood industry.
  • Specialized Background: Have a background and experience in Early Years / Inclusive Practice / Special Needs / Mother Tongue languages / Music / Visual Art, which would be advantageous.
  • IT Skills: Be IT savvy and have experience in using online teaching tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Demonstrate meticulous, self-initiated, responsive, and adaptable behavior.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work collaboratively.
