Strategic Commercial Counsel

This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional seeking to leverage their experience in commercial agreements and strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of APAC laws and regulations, as well as the ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and close commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Collaborate with regional sales, business development, and operations teams to design and implement go-to-market strategies that support high-growth initiatives.
- Monitor and interpret evolving APAC legal and regulatory developments, including data protection, technology, and AI-related frameworks.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and policies to reflect regional requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- A recognized legal qualification (JD, LLB, etc.) with active admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction, preferably a common law jurisdiction such as Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, or the U.S.
- 6-12 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on in-house experience with technology or SaaS companies strongly preferred.
- A proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
