Overview:

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage a team and ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Daily Work Assignments: Ensure that all housekeeping staff are assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, and that they have the necessary resources to complete their work.

  • Maintain High Standards: Implement quality control measures to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.

  • Provide Guidance and Coaching: Offer guidance and coaching to housekeeping staff to help them improve their performance and develop their skills.

  • Manage Supplies and Stocks: Check on housekeeping supplies and stocks to ensure that they are properly managed and that there are no shortages.

  • Minimize Errors and Waste: Identify areas where errors or waste can be minimized and implement measures to reduce them.

  • Safety and Health: Ensure that the workplace is safe and healthy for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: A minimum GCE 'O' Level qualification is required for this role.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience is required.

  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills are essential for this role, as well as basic knowledge of housekeeping practices.

  • Availability: Ability to perform shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
