Job Description

We are seeking a Guidance Counsellor to join our team at Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd. As a Guidance Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing counselling services to students and contributing to their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Counselling Services: Provide individual and group counselling sessions for students, develop and implement tailored intervention strategies for students with specific needs, and maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and student progress.
  • Preventive Measures: Design and conduct workshops for students on mental health awareness and social-emotional skills, collaborate with teachers to integrate social-emotional learning into the curriculum, and implement early intervention programmes to address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Participate in regular meetings with the Student Development Team, liaise with external professionals and agencies when necessary for student support, and engage in professional development activities and share best practices with other school counsellors.
  • Student Support: Provide crisis intervention and support for students facing acute challenges, offer guidance on academic and career-related concerns, and assist in the transition process for students entering or leaving the school.
  • Programme Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of the counselling programme's effectiveness, gather feedback from students, teachers, and parents to improve services, and prepare and submit reports on counselling activities and student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A diploma in counselling or equivalent or higher.
  • At least 1 year of relevant student counselling experience in Singapore.
  • Experience in professional knowledge and competencies, interpersonal skills, ethical and confidentiality standards, collaboration and teamwork, student-centric focus, technology and digital literacy, and emotional resilience and self-care.
Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is SGD $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
