About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Generalist & Culture Intern to contribute significantly to our human resources and cultural initiatives. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to acquire practical experience in various facets of HR operations and culture enhancement, allowing you to engage in co-creating diverse employee engagement activities throughout your internship.
We prefer candidates who can commit to a full-time internship, but we are also open to part-time applicants (3-day work week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless and welcoming integration into the organization, as well as participating in offboarding procedures.
- Support the planning and execution of employee engagement programs, including team-building events, wellness initiatives, and recognition ceremonies.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including the preparation of HR-related documentation, maintaining personnel files, and managing HR records.
- Actively maintain and update HR databases, employee records, and organizational structures.
- Help in collecting HR metrics and data to facilitate reporting and analysis of HR trends and performance.
- Contribute to initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Develop content for the Tencent Singapore Newsletter, which involves interviewing stakeholders to highlight business group projects and updates.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline, preferably with previous HR internship experience.
- Demonstrated interest in HR management, organizational culture, and employee relations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Positive demeanor, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Bilingual communication skills (English / Mandarin) to engage with both international stakeholders and colleagues based in China are highly advantageous.
