Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our organization in the role of Environmental Control Officer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the environmental compliance of construction sites.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Handling environmental issues on construction sites, including day-to-day management and coordination with project teams
  • Critically reviewing and summarizing regulatory and client requirements for environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Coordinating with project teams to ensure environmental requirements are met, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitoring and reviewing environmental issues, providing support to Project Managers and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Preparing and submitting site environmental control programs and reports, maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure ECM and environmental plans are in place, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Liaising with relevant authorities such as MOM, NEA, PUB, and others, fostering strong relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Facilitating and conducting internal auditing to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, GGBS, and BizSafe, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant field equivalent, with a strong foundation in environmental science and management
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in construction, environmental, or related fields, demonstrating expertise and a proven track record
  • NEA registered Environmental Control Officer (ECO), with valid licenses from NEA and PUB
  • Familiarity with GGBS Green and Gracious Builders scheme audit, with a strong understanding of sustainable practices and environmental management systems
  • At least merit or excellence grade, with a high level of initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a green environmental conscious
