Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory of liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar and bar area
  • Attend to guests' queries and concerns with professionalism
  • Continuously learn about various brands and types of liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Upsell wines and beverages to guests
  • Analyze sales and identify opportunities to increase profitability and maximize revenue
  • Control wastage through effective stock management, rotation, accurate recording, training, and monitoring
  • Perform Monthly Stock Take and ensure stock levels are maintained
  • Communicate with the Venue Manager to set daily targets and uphold high standards of quality, health, and hygiene
  • Lead by example in promoting safe practices and provide guidance to staff to ensure the safety of both staff and guests
  • Conduct regular research on local market trends and implement ideas to maximize profit
  • Ensure mise en place is performed properly and consistently
  • Handle cost control, purchasing, and maintenance duties
  • Oversee smooth operations of the cellar and day-to-day service
  • Work with the Group Wine & Beverage Manager to maintain beverage costs within budget
  • Participate in marketing meetings related to different market environments
  • Track and share information on new business trends and generate new business opportunities
  • Report out-of-stock items to the General Manager
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by management
