**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Governance Specialist

Cybersecurity governance involves ensuring that an organization's information security policies and procedures are well-managed, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with industry best practices.

  • This role is designed to support the Head of Information Security in enhancing and maintaining the overall security posture within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity risk management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Responsibilities include:
  • Assessing compliance exposure to current and emerging security-related regulatory requirements
  • Managing third-party due diligence engagements related to information security
  • Overseeing audit, assurance, and regulatory engagements related to information security
  • Tracking and reporting against key operational risk indicators (KORI) and required security metrics
  • Executing the Key Risk and Control Self-Assessment (KRCSA) process for information security
  • Developing and managing information security policies, procedures, and standards updates and control
  • Managing various information security initiatives and duties as assigned

The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, possess strong time management and organizational skills, and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Required qualifications include:
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security from a recognized education institution
  • Professional technology risk management/cybersecurity-related qualification will be favorable although not mandatory
  • Knowledge of industry best practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a good understanding of security concepts and practices, are essential for success in this role.

  • Tech skills required:
  • Strong knowledge of security risk analysis and mitigation techniques
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
  • Experience with threat intelligence tools and technologies
