Design Innovative Security SolutionsAbout the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Specialist to collaborate on our project team.

The selected candidate will play a key role in designing and developing innovative security solutions for Homeland Security, Smart Cities, and Critical Infrastructures.

This position entails:

  • Developing technical designs, writing code, and executing component tests to ensure alignment with product/functional specifications.
  • Collaborating with architects to create, implement, and maintain the product/solution development roadmap.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to client software development methodologies and processes.

Requirements:

Key Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring boot backend development, lifecycle of scalable micro-services-based architectures; including tools, best practices, continuous deployment, dependency/complexity management, scale/performance tuning, monitoring, resiliency, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns.
  • Experience leading a software team is an asset.
  • Experience managing external subcontractors is also an asset.
  • Proficiency in SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring boot.
  • Strong proficiency in relational database management, e.g. MS SQL.
  • Good-to-have: Experience with Angular, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, Apache Kafka.
  • Good-to-have: Knowledge related to virtualization, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Good-to-have: Experience with test automation tools and frameworks for web applications.
  • Good-to-have: Experience setting up continuous integration (e.g. GitLab CI).
