Job Title: Strategic Procurement Professional

The procurement team is responsible for acquiring goods and services to meet business objectives. As a strategic procurement professional, you will play a critical role in managing the purchasing process.

About the Role:

  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with existing vendors and establish partnerships with new suppliers.
  • Conduct cost-value analysis and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
  • Source consumables, equipment, spare parts, and other items from local and international suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain supplier agreements to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
  • Resolve supplier discrepancies and follow up on outstanding matters to minimize delays.
  • Manage import shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and documentation accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit procurement documentation promptly for accounting and audit purposes.
  • Support logistics functions, including outsourced third-party arrangements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure colleagues are informed about ongoing procurement matters and updated on all correspondence.
  • Provide coverage for departmental colleagues during leave or absence to ensure continuity.
  • Maintain accurate order status in the shared folder at all times.
  • Closely collaborate with team members and maintain effective communication to achieve procurement objectives.
  • Coordinate dropship deliveries from suppliers to customers, ensuring Sales/Operations/Logistics are informed in advance.

  • Negotiation skills: The ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills to conduct cost-value analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to resolve supplier discrepancies and follow up on outstanding matters to minimize delays.
