System Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled System Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Job Description:

The System Security Specialist will be responsible for monitoring security issues, determining what needs to be done, developing solutions, and facilitating and supporting security audits and tests. This includes analyzing scan results, prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk, and coordinating with system owners for timely patch deployment.

Additionally, you will help staff and stakeholders stay on top of security awareness and training. You will participate in incident reviews, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering/Information System/Information Security from a recognized institution with 3+ years of experience in DevOps roles.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and experience in managing on-prem environments.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices and how they should be applicable inside a project.
  • Experience with collecting metrics (Prometheus) and monitoring dashboards (Grafana).
