Middleware Engineer Position Overview

The Middleware Engineer role involves ensuring service reliability, availability, and stability across various middleware technologies. As a key member of the Middleware Services team, you will be responsible for driving automation and contributing to DevOps practices to enhance production environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide global production service operations support in middleware technologies;
  • Ensure service reliability, availability, and stability of assigned scopes;
  • Resolve incidents, problems, and service requests within SLAs;
  • Collaborate with development, project, and business teams on technical deliverables;
  • Drive continuous improvements through automation and performance optimization;

Additionally, you will engage in DevOps practices including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and compliance; develop and enhance middleware platforms, interfaces, and self-service workflows; and contribute specialist expertise to strategic projects and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong knowledge of WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka; proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows; and experience with monitoring and analytics tools, scripting languages, and ITIL service management.
