Youth Development Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Youth Development Specialist to join our team. As a Youth Development Specialist, you will work with youth-at-risk and lead programs to support their development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Evaluation: Plan, lead, and evaluate programs based on youth needs and risk assessments.
  • Therapeutic Group Work: Facilitate therapeutic group work and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
  • Case Management: Support case management and engage key stakeholders such as parents and schools.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Manage and engage volunteers to enhance hostel programs.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks, including documentation and meeting timelines.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Social Sciences: Diploma in Social Sciences with relevant experience in mentoring and working with youths.
  • Youth Work Experience: Experience working with youth-at-risk is an added advantage.
  • Engagement and Facilitation Skills: Strong engagement and facilitation skills.
  • Social Work Knowledge: Solid knowledge and experience in social work interventions, social policies, and community engagement.
