Commodity Trader Role

Our company is seeking a skilled Commodity Trader to join our team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Trade Support: Provide robust trade assistance support according to deal handling (DH) team task overview.
  • Deal Entry and Closure: Enter deals in respective systems for all segments upon traders' request, follow up and update of deals and strategies in trading system, perform profit realization and strategy closure for physical and paper trades.
  • Price Updates and Tender Support: Perform MOPS price and other price sheet updates as requested, provide tender support for crude desk and other benches if required.
  • Project Management: Drive projects, improvements, and best practices agenda in Dealhandling.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure financial compliance, including closing period reporting.
  • Operational Readiness: Contribute to operational readiness for new business from Trade Assistance perspective including testing and system configurations.
  • Ad Hoc Support and Duties: Provide ad hoc support and duties upon requests from traders or line manager.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contract compliance and mitigate any legal risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in commodity trading.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and financial markets.
