WiFi Tier 3 Engineer Job Description

This role is responsible for configuring and activating customer WiFi services, performing detailed diagnostics, and assisting in maintaining a secure, scalable, and high-performing centralized WiFi platform. The engineer will work closely with delivery teams during service onboarding and provide technical support to the WiFi Engineering team for escalations, platform optimization, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and provision WiFi infrastructure components including access points, wireless controllers, SSIDs, VLANs, and policy enforcement rules via centralized platforms.
  • Integrate WiFi services with enterprise systems such as RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, and authentication gateways.
  • Execute technical onboarding procedures, including zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), AP registration, firmware validation, and template-based configuration deployment.
  • Conduct pre-deployment readiness checks, post-deployment verification (connectivity, roaming, signal quality), and validate compliance with design specifications.
  • Document configurations, implementation steps, and test results to support knowledge.
