Senior Resident Engineer Job Description

The Senior Resident Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of construction projects and managing a team of supervisors.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Manage supervision services for all C&S and M&E works, ensuring compliance with quality control procedures.
    • Collaborate with QP(D) / QP(S) to resolve design and technical issues, promoting timely project completion.
    • Review and comment on Contractors' proposals and designs, ensuring they meet industry standards.
    • Lead REs and RTOs in checking drawings and specifications, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Monitor project progress, proposing measures to ensure timely completion and optimize resource allocation.
    • Report on quality, workmanship, and safety issues, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Carry out inspections and assist clients in taking over completed works, ensuring seamless transition.
    • Coordinate As-Built information for record purposes, maintaining accurate documentation.
    • Monitor rectification works during Defect Liability period, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Accreditation with Joint Accreditation Committee of Institution of Engineers Singapore and Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in major construction works, demonstrating expertise in project management.
    • C&S Engineering Degree recognized by Professional Engineers Board of Singapore, showcasing academic excellence.
    • Conversance with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations.
