We are seeking a highly motivated and independent team player to join our Wholesale Credit Risk Management team as an AVP, Transaction & Collateral Management. In this role, you will be responsible for performing middle office functions to support Commodities Financing under Global Corporate Banking, interacting with various internal and external stakeholders, and exercising your judgement and risk assessment on every transaction.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor all transactions requested by clients to ensure they fall within credit parameters and raise exceptions for approvals as needed.
- Obtain and review transactional documentary support before validating transactions for execution by Trade Ops and track the development of transactions on an end-to-end basis.
- Review AML/CFT aspects of transactions and highlight red flags to BU, Risk, and RCU accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to approved advance margins and arrange for cash top-ups when required.
- Assess the quality and value of collateral by performing mark-to-market valuation and ensuring it is maintained on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor movement of collateral and control the release of goods financed by the bank to third parties.
- Follow up on transaction exceptions or excess and regularize or rectify these matters with Relationship Managers.
