University Guidance & Careers Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled University Guidance and Careers Counsellor to advise students and parents on GCSE options, Post-16 pathways, university, higher and further education course choices and career options.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead information sessions and workshops for parents and students on systems such as UCAS, the Common App, international university applications and post-results procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct informative sessions and workshops for parents and students on academic progression and career opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver guidance materials and resources for faculty use.
  • Support the development of career and higher education guidance activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide up-to-date information on UK, North American and European higher education options.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of four years' experience as a University Counsellor.
  • Secondary teaching background advantageous.
  • Ability to lead sessions and workshops on UCAS, the Common App and international applications.
  • Knowledge of the British education system and international applications in North America and Europe desirable.
