Residential Care Role

We are seeking a compassionate and patient individual to provide supervision, caregiving, and guidance to children and young persons in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, caregiving, and guidance to children and young persons in our care.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment.
  • Encourage and reward positive behaviors, address unacceptable behavior promptly, and document good/unacceptable behaviors.
  • Co-lead with Social Workers to ensure residents' safety, health, and positive behavior during outings and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident activities, including attendance, behavior, and incident reports.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned by Reporting Officers.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in any discipline
  • Preferably at least 1 year of relevant experience. Fresh graduates may also be considered.
  • Experience working or volunteering with children and youth groups will have an added advantage.
  • Able to interact positively with children and youths and enforce discipline in a fair and respectful manner.
  • Empathy and patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • The ability to work well with others.
  • Good communication skills to interact with a diverse group of residents.
  • Good team player with a high level of initiative and independence.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work a 5-day workweek on nights shifts from 10 pm to 7 am, including weekends and public holidays.
