Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bakery Customer Service Assistant to support the smooth running of our bakery operations.

This role involves:

  • Tending to customers, taking their orders, and preparing pastries for collection
  • Assisting in store operations, including supervising staff, overseeing daily tasks, and implementing security and safety standards
  • Leading the team to achieve sales targets, developing promotional content, and ensuring excellent customer experiences
  • Monitoring inventory levels, communicating with suppliers, and maintaining organized stock
  • Managing finances and documenting sales records

The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be comfortable using POS systems, and possess basic math skills. A good command of English is essential, and the ability to speak a second language is beneficial.

Additional requirements include being organized, able to record daily inventory, report sales, answer phone calls, and take orders. An AWSQ Level 1 Food Safety Handling Certificate is required.

Duties include:

  • Supervising staff, including cashiers and sales associates
  • Overseeing daily operations, maintaining a clean environment, and implementing security and safety standards
  • Greeting and welcoming customers
  • Taking customer orders and communicating orders to the kitchen if necessary
  • Packing customer orders and answering customer questions
  • Keying in orders in the POS system and collecting payment from customers
  • Checking inventory and raising orders when needed
  • Maintaining service areas and shop floor cleanliness
  • Supporting back-of-house operations when required
