Job Overview

This role provides vital counselling and case work support for clients dealing with addiction issues and their family members affected by addiction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Counselling Services: Provide face-to-face individual and group counselling, and run workshops for offenders, ex-offenders, and their families on addiction issues.
  • Case Management: Conduct risk assessment, social investigation, case formulation, and intervention planning as part of counselling and case management.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with authorities and community partners to ensure clients receive resources and services they need to succeed.
  • Reporting and Recording: Prepare and submit reports and case recordings in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Counselling recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling.
  • Two years of experience working with offenders and ex-offenders is advantageous.
  • Certified Substance Addiction Counsellor (CSAC) with APSAC or those trained in Motivational Interviewing and/or Windows on Addiction will be given priority.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and at least one other local language.
