About the Role:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Oversee the creation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Drive the quarterly closing process, guaranteeing all entries are reconciled and verified for accuracy.
  • Contribute to the implementation and application of IFRS 17 standards, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a seamless and efficient audit process.
  • Analyze financial data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support the development and enhancement of financial reporting policies and procedures to drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • A deep understanding of financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS 17, is essential for success in this role.
  • A proven track record of managing regulatory submissions, with direct experience handling MAS submissions being a significant advantage.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and present complex financial information clearly.
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
