Packaging and Supply Chain Specialist

Job Description:

This role reports to the Lead Shipping & Logistics Manager. Key responsibilities include ensuring cargos are packed, labeled, and shipped according to regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the Supervisor to arrange and complete packaging of finished products based on shipping schedules.
  • Evaluate packages for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in order picking from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders accurately.
  • Perform cargo loading at collection points for transporters' collection.
  • Prepare shipping documents and check all items loaded for shipment.
  • Maintain warehouses in good condition and stock/packaging materials stored at appropriate locations.
  • Monitor and replenish packaging materials as needed.
  • Report incidents, accidents, or near misses during packaging, as well as non-compliance or issues with external service providers.
  • Recommend improvements to operational efficiency in the packaging process.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  1. Cargo Handling: Ensure cargos are packed, labeled, and shipped according to regulatory requirements.
  2. Packaging Management: Collaborate with the Supervisor to arrange and complete packaging of finished products based on shipping schedules.
  3. Inventory Control: Maintain warehouses in good condition and stock/packaging materials stored at appropriate locations.
  4. Supply Chain Coordination: Participate in order picking from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders accurately.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Evaluate packages for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in handling liquids, chemicals, and shipments preferred.
  • Candidates with NITEC qualification and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Forklift license holders will be highly advantageous.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Independent, resourceful, and highly self-motivated.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • The job is physically demanding and requires carrying heavy items at times.
  • Willingness to work at Tuas South.
