Logistics Planning Expert

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Planning Expert to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning of our logistics operations.

About the Role:
  • Assist in the development of warehouse layouts and optimize space utilization to maximize efficiency.
  • Evaluate and improve logistics operations to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
  • Apply Lean principles to drive operational excellence and eliminate waste.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support WMS integration during system implementations or upgrades.
  • Contribute to new business setups by assisting with facility layout, workforce planning, and procurement of necessary equipment.
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL to monitor and report on operational performance.
  • Develop warehouse simulation models using software like MS Visio or AutoCAD.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics planning, warehouse design, or supply chain operations.
  • Prior experience focusing on contract logistics and operational improvements (Lean, cost reduction, 5S, visual boards).
  • Proficient in MS Visio, AutoCAD or similar design/layout tools.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (SAP/Oracle) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
