Loan Operations Specialist

A pivotal role in loan operations is up for grabs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Processing: Process various transactions including loan disbursements, treasury trades, sales and purchases with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Set up accounts in payment systems to ensure seamless financial transactions.
  • Monitor and track on-time payments, following up on non-receipts until closure to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Capture loan profile, schedules and cashflows accurately to facilitate smooth transaction processing.
  • Liaise with Transaction Administrators to reconcile cashflow schedules and monitor settlement activities, ensuring timely and accurate settlements.
  • Collaborate with counterparties, custodians, clearing houses, banks and internal teams to address and resolve trade settlements, payment discrepancies, exceptions and escalations in a professional manner.
  • Support system testing and other ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure the efficient operation of the loan operations team.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in operations and settlements in a finance company or bank, with a strong understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycle and settlement frameworks.
  • Exposure to syndicated, bilateral loans, bonds, deposits, remittances, derivatives and treasury products to ensure comprehensive knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT, trade settlement platforms (ClearPar, DTCC, Euroclear/Clearstream) and custody accounts to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with colleagues, clients and external parties.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines to deliver results-oriented solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to ensure effective document preparation and presentation.
