Job Description

We are partnering a fast-growing technology client to appoint a highly-skilled Group Technical Accounting Specialist into their high-performing Finance team. In view of exceptional performance, the organisation is gearing up for the next phase of their growth plan.

This position will be based in Singapore. The role holder will be a key partner to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex accounting issues into clear actionable insights.

As the go-to Subject Matter Expert, you will guide the company through complex accounting matters, prepare detailed technical papers, and ensure that accounting standards are applied consistently across all entities.

You will develop and maintain group accounting policies and standard operating procedures, assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures, and oversee processes such as fair value measurements, share-based compensation calculations, and impairment assessments.

You will communicate complex accounting concepts clearly for non-finance colleagues and conduct training sessions to strengthen the knowledge of finance teams.

You should balance being an approachable resource with the ability to push back on topics, especially with senior stakeholders when necessary for the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Translate complex accounting issues into clear actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the go-to Subject Matter Expert on accounting matters across the group.
  • Develop and maintain group accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures.
  • Oversee accounting processes such as fair value measurements, share-based compensation calculations, and impairment assessments.
  • Communicate complex accounting concepts to non-finance colleagues and conduct training sessions.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA or CPA.
  • Proven experience in technical accounting or financial reporting preferably in a multi-entity environment.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS/SFRS and other relevant accounting standards comfortable liaising with auditors and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting issues for non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
