Job Opportunity: Bed Management Lead
We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee our bed management operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and implementing systems to optimize resource allocation.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, able to analyze flow/bed management issues and propose relevant recommendations. They will also be able to develop and review job instructions and process improvements for department workflows.
A degree in any discipline is required, along with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Additionally, the candidate should be able to promote hospital/department improvement initiatives and foster teamwork across teams.
- Ensure effective utilization of key resources (e.g., beds and related resources), constantly balancing demand and supply.
- Serve as a liaison with various departments (Emergency Department, Clinics, Wards, Medical teams) to ensure efficient patient flow within the hospital.
- Monitor and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges to maximize bed usage and optimize resources.
- Implement escalation policies to manage patient flow appropriately throughout the hospital.
- Provide regular statistics and reports to Management and relevant departments.
- Develop contingency and business continuity plans as required.
- Maintain effective communication channels with staff and stakeholders from various hospital departments.
- Address queries and handle complaints in a timely manner.
- Lead and facilitate staff in improving work processes.
