Event Planning and Coordination Expertise

The role of an Event Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless organisation and delivery of large-scale events and conferences. To excel in this position, you must possess a strategic approach to event planning, coordination, and management.

  • Develop comprehensive event plans that incorporate budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, and on-site coordination to guarantee successful event execution.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, clients, and external suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure timely event delivery.
  • Identify potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement contingency plans as needed to maintain event momentum.
  • Measure and analyse event performance, providing detailed post-event reports and recommendations for improvement to enhance future event capabilities.
  • Lead a team of event coordinators, offering guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to optimise event outcomes.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in event project management, preferably within the marketing & communications field.
  • A proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-profile events to a consistently high standard.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence in liaising with clients and suppliers.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with a solutions-focused mindset to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.
  • Proficient in event management software and tools.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in event management, marketing, or a related discipline.
