Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Developmental Support Specialist to provide tailored support and intervention services to infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. This role is focused on delivering high-quality interventions that address the unique needs of each child and family.

About the Role

The successful candidate will conduct thorough assessments to identify children at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Based on these findings, they will develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and other professionals. This may include therapy, family training, educational activities, and progress monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive developmental screenings and assessments to identify children at risk.
  • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Provide direct support and intervention services to children, including therapy and educational activities.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment.
  • Monitor progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in early intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
