Senior Food Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Safety Specialist to lead our quality initiatives.

This is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards at assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and operational procedures across production and retail outlets.
  • Supervise and conduct personal hygiene checks, product quality assessments, and sample retention protocols to ensure adherence to internal and external standards.
  • Develop laboratory testing schedules to ensure critical tests are conducted in accordance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions for any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Implement the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System (FSMS) for relevant operations.
  • Oversee updates of the Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure operational adherence to standards and address any discrepancies or audit findings.
  • Maintain quality assurance records as per regulatory and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Food Science/Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of SFA regulation, ISO 22000, and Halal/related standards.
  • Able to multitask and work within timelines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with proactive and meticulous work attitude.
