Job Description

Scaffolding Coordinators are responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising scaffolding works on various construction projects. This involves reviewing project work packs, identifying scaffolding requirements and preparing scaffolding plans and layouts.

The Coordinator must ensure compliance with design and load specifications, direct and monitor scaffolders during erection, modification and dismantling of scaffold structures, and coordinate with QA/QC and HSE for scaffold inspections before handover for use.

Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for enforcing compliance with project HSE procedures, conducting scaffold safety toolbox talks and participating in daily coordination meetings. They must also ensure scaffolds are erected and maintained with adequate access, guardrails, toe boards and fall arrest measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of tube & coupler, ringlock, Cuplock and Kwikstage scaffolding systems.
  • Ability to interpret scaffolding drawings, calculate load capacities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • 7–10 years of scaffolding experience in EPC, offshore, oil & gas or heavy industrial construction projects.
  • At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Familiarity with fabrication yard practices and offshore construction environments.
