Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our team in designing, developing and maintaining cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) products and services.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-based IoT engineering with a strong focus on cloud architectures, preferably on Amazon Web Services. They should also possess proficient programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++, along with experience in containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage business users to gather and evaluate requirements and use cases.
  • Design and develop system architectures and designs based on the requirements.
  • Perform risk assessment with business users and provide guidance for end-to-end system integration in terms of cybersecurity and sensor connectivity.
  • Lead projects alongside business users and vendors to ensure project delivery and sustainability.
  • Develop processes to ensure smooth operation and security of IoT devices and systems.
  • Perform system administration duties to manage and support highly available ICT infrastructure environments.
  • Provide technical leadership through innovation, research, and evaluation of IoT/Cloud technologies and solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in cloud-based IoT engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing cloud architectures, preferably on AWS.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with IoT protocols, data ingestion, and real-time data processing.
  • Experience with development & deployment on commercial clouds like Amazon Web Services.
  • Exposure to Loosely Coupled Architecture and Application Integration Patterns.
  • Knowledge of Secure-By-Design Lifecycle for Cloud & IoT Devices.
