About the Role

The Senior Vessel Operations Manager will lead a team of professionals in managing vessel operations, collaborating closely with other departments to ensure seamless vessel performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing vessel budgets and financial management
  • Collaborating with Fleet Controlling to meet OPEX and Dry Docking targets
  • Liaising with Classification Societies, Flag State Administrations, and regulatory bodies to ensure vessel compliance
  • Handling claims and insurance cases with technical expertise and documentation
  • Working with the QHSE/Marine Department on safety and security matters onboard ships

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in technical operations, preferably as a Chief Engineer followed by several years as a Technical Superintendent ashore
  • The ability to evaluate and monitor complex technical operations of ships trading globally
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English, to communicate effectively within a multinational team and with vessel crew
  • A proactive approach, with a strong commitment to company values and transparent communication
