A seasoned professional is sought to manage a large team of Portfolio Development Managers across multiple countries or industries, driving high-quality portfolio development activities that meet sales targets and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the regional management team, lead a geographically dispersed team of Portfolio Development Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure seamless delivery of portfolio expansion initiatives.
  • In partnership with country executives and management, contribute to the development of sales pipeline strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of portfolio expansion and growth initiatives, aligning with zone-level objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Manage business operations for portfolio management, including budgetary control, business planning, monitoring, and reporting, to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish clear market positions for portfolio domains within allocated areas, understanding customer needs and delivering value-driven solutions to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Make informed personnel decisions, such as recruitment, training, and development, performance management, and talent acquisition, in line with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in regional meetings and contribute to planning and reporting for required activities, ensuring cross-functional alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to senior leaders and managers, promoting best practices and supporting organizational development.
  • Contribute to zone and global initiatives, aligned with agreed priorities and strategies, and deputize for Senior Portfolio Director as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in engineering or economics.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the simulation or engineering technology industry, preferably in aerospace, defense, marine, or start-ups.
  • Strong understanding of simulation tools, technologies, and their applications from leading vendors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to travel as needed.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
