Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Marina Bay Sands. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in running daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and develop junior chefs to ensure they understand kitchen standards and hygiene practices.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving goods, to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Develop and implement recipes and menu items to meet customer demands and preferences.
  • Lead by example and maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting open communication and respect among team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve kitchen operations and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a 4-5 star hotel or quality restaurant.
  • Proven track record of leadership, team management, and culinary expertise.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Western cuisine, food safety, and kitchen operations.
