Job Description

The Volunteer Management role is a key position that ensures the effective recruitment, engagement, and retention of volunteers for our charity. Reporting to the Head of Volunteer Management, this role involves building a strong volunteer network that supports our mission, values, and goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing volunteer activities and flagship events, fostering positive experiences for volunteers, and supporting our long-term volunteer strategy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the recruitment process, including advertising volunteer opportunities, screening, and interviewing applicants.

  2. Register volunteers to database, including their availability, skills, and preferences.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma with minimum 2 years of experience in social sector, event coordination, or community outreach, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.

  • Fresh graduates are welcome but must have a positive mindset with some past volunteering experience.

  • Experience working with diverse groups of volunteers and community partners.

  • Possess communication, critical thinking, strategic planning, effective time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritise effectively.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse groups of people.

  • Ability to address challenges in volunteer management, ensuring smooth operations and satisfaction for both volunteers and the charity.
